Why I Create Memorial Pottery
After the loss of a loved one, many of us are uncertain about what to do with their ashes, often keeping them hidden away and ultimately forgotten. Your memorial ash-ware vessels is created to help you preserve a small portion of your loved one’s remains in a personal, meaningful way—transforming them into a keepsake that encourages ongoing connection and remembrance.
Choose Your Vessels
Clay and Comfort Pottery provides a variety of vessel shapes and colors for
families to select from. During the firing process, the ash particles mesh with the vessel, becoming invisible to the eye. However, they subtly express themselves throughout —manifesting as lighter or darker shades, or delicate flashes and flecks over the surface of the vessel. As a result, no two are ever alike.
Handcrafted
Each piece is meticulously handcrafted on the wheel in my studio, offering minimalist designs that are characterized by clean lines and simple curves. This approach keeps the form elegant and balanced, allowing the true beauty to take center stage. A simple yet profound reminder that we are all beautifully unique.
